Early Help
Through our nurturing, family-feel ethos, we endeavour to ensure each and every pupil and member of staff is valued and feels safe. We aim to develop the emotional wellbeing of our children and their learning about being both physically and mentally healthy in line with the DfE guidance: Promoting Children and Young People's Mental Health and Wellbeing 2021 . We aim to identify early signs that help is required and support families with this in school as well as signposting outside agencies.
We do this in a number of ways, not limited to:
- Safeguarding, welfare and concern procedures
- PSHE curriculum as well as the wider curriculum
- Assemblies and circle times
- Gomeldon R Values
- Buddies systems
- Pupil voice opportunities
- Teacher and TA observations
- Check-ins in class
- Open door policy
- ELSA
- Pupil progress meetings
- Parent consultation meetings
- SEN meetings
- Sign posting external agencies who can help
